Las Vegas, NV - The $100,000 Grade 3 Gardenia Stakes was contested at Ellis Park on Saturday, August 9. Molly Morgan followed up a disappointing fifth in the Delaware Handicap with a nice win as 4-5 favorite in the field of eight fillies and mares. Tapit's World made a charge but wound up in second with Livi Makenzie getting in for third. Frivolous, Interest Free, Ocean Bertie, Quiet Success, and Lucy's Revenge completed the order of finish. Liberated scratched.
