Nyquist Wins Del Mar Futurity
Las Vegas, NV - Del Mar in the great state of California played host to the $300,000 Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity on Labor Day Monday, September 7 - a seven furlong dash for two year olds that set American Pharoah on his historic path. Reddam Racing's Nyquist, the 1-2 favorite didn't disappoint - emerging by a relatively easy 3 3/4 lengths in the field of six and remaining undefeated in his three-race career. Swipe finished second with Blameitonthelaw another 4 1/4 lengths back in third. Rockin Bayou Finished fourth followed by Annie's Candy and Archaeo to complete the order of finish. Nightly News and Mt Veeder were scratched reducing the field to six.
