Wild Dude Wins Bing Crosby Stakes at Del Mar
Las Vegas, NV - The $300,000 Grade 1 Bing Crosby Stakes was contested at Del Mar Race Track in Southern California on Sunday, July 26 - a six furlong dash for horses three years old and upward. It was Wild Dude that provided the upset - he emerged by 1 1/4 lengths at 11-1 odds for his first Grade 1 score. Wild Dude earned a spot in the $1.5 million Breeder's Cup Sprint with the win. 2-5 favorite Masochistic finished second while Kobe's Back rallied for third. Caminetto and Distinctiv Passion finished fourth and fifth, respectively, to complete the order of finish. Appealing Tale scratched.
