Las Vegas, NV - The $300,000 Grade 1 Clement L. Hirsch Stakes was contested at Del Mar in the great state of California on Saturday, August 2. Even-money choice Iotapa won her second consecutive Grade 1 race and sixth race overall in 12 career starts - this time by a half length in the 1 1/16 mile Polytrack test. In turn, Iotapa earned an automatic berth into the Breeders' Cup Distaff October 31. Broken Sword was second with her Jerry Hollendorfer-trained stablemate Parranda third.
