Brereton Jones' Lovely Maria was best on the day, rallying at 6-1 odds to win by 2 3/4 lengths in front of an Oaks record crowd of 123,763. 26-1 shot Shook Up rallied for second while another Jones trainee, I'm a Chatterbox, finished third at 5-1 odds. 3-1 favorite Stellar Wind battled a rough start and wound up fourth while Birdatthewire, Angela Renee, Oceanwave, Include Betty, Condo Command who was the co-second choice, Eskenformoney, Forever Unbridled, Puca and Money'soncharlotte completed the order of finish. Sarah Sis was pulled up by jockey Gary Stevens and posted a DNF in the race.
