Mohaymen Wins Nashua Stakes at Aqueduct
Las Vegas, NV - Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens, New York opened for business on Wednesday, November 4 and featured two graded stakes on the opening day card. One was the $200,000 Grade 2 Nashua Stakes - a one mile dirt test for up and coming two year olds. Shadwell Stable's Mohaymen made it a stakes debut to remember, winning by 1 3/4 lengths as the even money favorite. Flexibility finished second in the field of seven at 10-1 while 3-1 second choice Sail Ahoy rallied late to finish a neck back in third. River Dell was fourth, followed by Magna Light, Jay's Way, and Pilot House, to complete the order of finish. Sunny Ridge was scratched.
