Las Vegas, NV - The $250,000 Grade 3 Withers Stakes went down at Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens, New York on Saturday, February 1. The race came down to a battle of two New York breds with undefeated 7-5 morning line favorite Samraat emerging victorious to claim top spot and the 10 qualification points in the 1 1/16 mile Road to the Kentucky Derby race. Chief rival 9-5 second choice Uncle Sigh finished second while it was another 10 1/4 lengths back to Scotland. Classic Giacnroll, Honorable Judge, and Street Gent completed the order of finish.
