Las Vegas, NV - Del Mar Race Track racetrack in Del Mar, California will be the scene of a rare Wednesday stakes race - the Grade 2 Sorrento Stakes August 7. Two year old fillies will be featured as they chase their share of the $150,000 purse when they sprint 6 1/2 furlongs on Del Mar's dirt track.

A field of seven juvenile fillies has been confirmed for the Sorrento Stakes - race 7 on Del Mar's Wednesday card. Post time is 5:10 PM. Here is a look into the past performances of all seven combatants for this intriguing Grade 2 stakes.

2013 Sorrento Stakes Race Favorites

She's a Tiger - half sister to Smiling Tiger will race for the third time for trainer Jeff Bonde and is coming off a win in her stakes debut - at the minor Landulace Stakes over E Equalsmcsquared at Hollywood Park July 13 after breaking maiden by an impressive nine lengths in her only other career start - at Pleasanton June 22. She has yet to trail in any race she's entered, is the top weight a 123 pounds and is the one to beat Wednesday.

E Equalsmcsquared - has three career starts for trainer J. Eric Kruljac is coming off a decent second in the minor Landaluce Stakes behind She's a Tiger at Hollywood Park July 13 after breaking maiden May 18 at Lone Star. Her first career start was a fourth in a MSW at Hollywood Park May 3. She gave She's a Tiger a run last time out and is expected to do so again Wednesday.

Concave - Doug O'Neill trained filly has just one career start and one win - a MSW score at Betfair Hollywood Park July 12. She races in stakes company for the first time Wednesday. Concave is yet another Doug O'Neil prospect that has some hype behind her as we start determining the best two year old prospects.
